Alternative Lifestyle

At the age of 19 years old, I knew I was called to share the word and to do ministry; however, I didn’t know what that was going to look like. I finished high school in 2006 with only a certificate because I could not pass the North Carolina competency test. But God favored me. I was able to attend and graduate college with my bachelor’s in psychology. During my undergrad time, I had lots of struggles, but God. In the weeks to come I will share more about how God has favored me.

Today, I am in a place of rethinking how to live my best life with a 2-year-old child. Currently, I am a pastor in my first appointment that has definitely had its challenges. Due to my own personal mental health, I asked to be moved. Which has put me in a financial hardship. According to CNBC, a single person in North Carolina needs to earn $42,659 in today’s economy. In July my income will dramatically decrease which means I can no longer afford to rent a home for my daughter and me.

Since March, I have been praying to God asking the question, what are my next steps? Since March, I have been crying and pleading that things would get better! Things didn’t get better. I will most likely be appointed to a church that can only pay a quarter of my current income. Thankfully I am in the same state and close enough to my family that my daughter and I can go live with my parents.

I personally dislike this idea, I’m so thankful to have a mother and father that would open up their home to their adult child and grandchild but no. My plan A is to build me a tiny home next to my mother and father. As of May 26th, my tiny home is up and ready to be worked on. To complete my tiny home,  I am in need of $5,000. This will cover the cost of materials installation and drywall. Also will allow me to purchase bathroom fixtures, toilet, sink and shower. Along with a sink, fridge and something to prepare meals. I am willing to take any above items in donations.

If I can get 100 people to donate at least $50.00, I will meet my goal. If you would like to donate to my project in building a tiny home for my daughter and I, please cashapp us at $Marcharkelti and share this blog with your online community.

My tiny home will have two bedrooms, one bathroom, a living room, kitchen and small office. The tiny home is 12×40, blue with brown trimmings.

I am excited about this new adventure! I am totally trusting God in this season because I know I can’t do this alone. Please take a look at my Amazon list that’s below.
